Building digital tools that feel more human.
I'm the founder of PhonePact, a screen-time app built around a simple belief: you were never supposed to fight the algorithm alone.
My work sits at the intersection of technology, storytelling, ethics, mental health, and community. I'm interested in building digital tools that feel more human, and creating products that help people return to their lives without shame, punishment, or isolation.
I graduated with a Master of Theological Studies from Harvard Divinity School, where I explored questions of meaning, attention, consciousness, and human formation. Before that, I studied Journalism at Northwestern University, with minors in Religious Studies and Political Science.
Across my creative and advocacy work, I care deeply about Asian American mental health and representation in media, nonspeaking autism rights, children's well-being, religious mysticism, physical and digital art, writing, filmmaking, and martial arts.
PhonePact brings together these ideas of attention, trust, accountability, care, and the question of how we live with technology without letting it rule our lives. Here is exactly what it measures, and what it refuses to collect.
I also write Notes on Attention, forty-odd field guides on this whole territory: ADHD and screens, the family phone war, and what to do when every blocker has failed you. Everything I cite is real and hedged honestly; the studies are listed here.
If something on this site helped, or got something wrong, I'd like to know. Tell me.
